Why Tennis? Because on the court I discover who I really am
Couple of weeks ago I posted a question on Instagram - Why Play Tennis ? The responses were incredible and I'd like to share two quotes from our community.
Quote 1:
"Tennis is a one man sport, sure the professionals have teams, but ultimately it’s you (me) on the court making my own decisions and problem solving, and swinging hard and fast, and feeling strong and proud. Tennis is a game of responsibility and it makes me feel powerful when I leave the court, win or lose. 💪🏻🎾❤️"
Quote 2:
"Because for so long, I played another sport at the highest level I could, and thought that’s all there was. When that chapter ended (due to another ACL tear), I had to find something else. It was on my flight home from tearing my ACL, I watched Federer's doc “Twelve Final Days” and was inspired to play tennis immediately. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Now, I’m in love with being a “beginner” again. Obsessed with getting better each week, and pushing myself in uncomfortable moments. Much love tennis gang 🎾💜"
Tennis is so much more than a sport. Its a way of life. It's a place where we push ourselves, find our strength and discover who we are. I'd love to hear more of your stories of why you play tennis and share them with our community.
