Remembering advice from my dad
My dad always wanted his children to be the best version of ourselves so he would often give us advice. One piece of advice has come to my mind a lot lately and that is “always try your best”. Sometimes our best isn’t enough or doesn’t feel like enough because we just don’t have the energy or mindset at the moment.
In tennis, we can be trying our best to win a point or hit our serve but for whatever reason, we are not seeing the ball that day. Sound familiar?
Keep in mind that trying your best doesn’t mean success, it just means you put your heart into something regardless of the outcome.
This Saturday, June 10, my dad would be celebrating his 97th birthday so he has been on my mind. I think he would be very excited that I am taking a chance to be an entrepreneur. I know that he would be proud of me because I am trying my best on the tennis court, in life and with AD-IN.
I make an effort to follow my dad's advice, though I must admit that I don't always succeed. Therefore, whether on or off the court, let's all give it our best and be happy that we did.
At AD-IN, we believe that tennis goes beyond just a game. It has the power to teach us invaluable life lessons. We created AD-IN so that we can support one another both on and off the court.
