Play Injury Free Tennis

We all know the theory. Tennis is tough on our bodies and stretching can help lessen the risk of injuries, reduce muscle soreness, and boost performance. But... let's be honest, how many of us actually take the time to stretch?
Research shows that pros dedicate at least 20 minutes to stretching both before and after their games to maintain peak performance. After a long match, spending another 20 minutes on stretching is probably the last thing on our minds. But, the post-match stretches are the most crucial for restoring range of motion. So what do we do if we don't want to do the stretching ourselves ?

Have you heard of StretchLab ? I am very excited about our new partnership with them. If you have been to one of their sessions, you know that amazing feeling of lightness and tension release as you walk out. Just 15 minutes there, and your body feels rejuvenated.

What's the story of StretchLab
Founded in 2015 in Venice, California, StretchLab is the first boutique fitness franchise that offers one-on-one assisted stretching services in a fun, energetic, communal environment.
StretchLab is part of the Xponential Fitness family of brands, the curator of leading fitness & wellness brands across every vertical in boutique fitness.

Why does it work?
Because they have a unique wellness concept offering customized assisted stretch sessions. No two bodies are the same and no two stretches are the same. One-on-one stretching is about identifying tightness and imbalances in every body and customizing a stretch routine for each person.
Customers come in with pain, tightness or specific focus areas. Once they experience freedom that comes from having a wider range or motion they commit to their flexibility journey.

What is special about StretchLab
Proprietary Flexologist Training Program is an intensive and thorough program that each of Flexologists must complete prior to joining StretchLab. This is the first Nationally Accredited program from ICE - the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. During their required 60-70+ hours of theory and hands-on training, Flexologists learn the muscular system, a variety of assisted stretches and how to work with a variety of clients of all ages and body types.

Our Sunday June 9 Tennis Stretching program: 2-4 PM at StretchLab75
We will kick off with a demo on tennis-specific stretches. After that, if you booked a one-on-one session, you'll meet your Flexologist. Others, can stick around, meet tennis friends and ask any specific questions. The event is free but it is first come first serve, so book your sessions early.

Plus, there's a bonus. Next door is the Grand Bazaar, NYC's largest and most diverse weekly Sunday market. They are hosting a special event on Home Decor and Accessories. It's a perfect place for a relaxed stroll with your tennis buddies before or after your stretch.

See you at the StretchLab !
