Outdoor tennis - it's finally almost here
Here's your quick checklist to get ready for the outdoor season.
Get your permits:
Permit allows you to book courts for free and make advance reservations for 15$. Full-season permits for adults aged 18 to 61 cost $100, while seniors (62 and older) can obtain permits for $20, and juniors (under 18) for $10. Starting March 11, 2024, permits can be purchased or renewed in person at the Arsenal, located at 830 Fifth Avenue in Central Park, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. If you have IDNYC - you get additional 10% discount.

String your racquets:
One of our best favorite places - NYC Racquet Sports. You can have same day stringing at NYC Racquet sports. Drop them a message to let them know you're coming 212-695-5353. Tell Woody that you are from AD-IN for a little something extra.
Get new shoes and outfits:
Tennis warehouse has a 25% discount on Nike shoes and outfits.
Mason's tennis has always good selection of clothes. Pricy but you can find some items on the sale.
Paragon - if you renew your permit at paragon they give a discount on tennis clothes.
Wilson store at Columbus Circle.
TJ Maxx - You'd be surprised what you can find there.
Some Court Highlights:
Central Park - courts are schedule to open on April 1st. They operate daily until dusk. CP hotline: 212-280-0205.
RCTA - these are 96s street courts, 119 and 172nd. Check out their new website - Courts are due to open in April. Call for details 212-978-0277.
