Beware of blind spots - Resolve a conflict in the office, be a better player on the court
Why are we unable to see clearly, why are we unable to agree, and why do we leave a meeting without a resolution ? Many of us have been there.
Blind spots and ego make it difficult to distinguish between reality and wishful thinking. We frequently prioritize being correct over seeking out what is true because of our need to be right.
Similarly, in tennis, we often believe that we can see all the angles, lines and our opponents' weaknesses. But as soon as we admit to our blind spots, we become conscious of our limitations and we start improving them. The moment we remove ego, our game improves.
Office is no different than a tennis court. We make better decisions, collaborate more effectively and achieve the much desired success at work the minute we become self-aware and open to criticism.
At AD-IN, we believe that tennis goes beyond just a game. It has the power to teach us invaluable life lessons. We created AD-IN to share these life experiences and help each other improve our skills both on and off the court.
