Hi *|FNAME|*,
Let's introduce you to one of New York City's
best-kept tennis secrets,
Gotham Stadium Tennis Center. Many refer to them as Stadium Tennis. They're also one of our favorite clubs, and our second year working with them.
Located
just minutes from Manhattan, a few blocks from Yankee Stadium, and right next to the East River inside Mill Pond Park, Gotham has built its reputation almost entirely by word of mouth. Now in its 15th season, it's one of NYC's great tennis finds. The facility features 16 courts, 12 of which move indoors from October through April under one of the
largest bubbles in the world, with 60-foot high ceilings and spacious backcourts, spread over 75,000 square feet. The clubhouse has locker rooms with showers and offers stringing services. Many first-time visitors show up not knowing what to expect and leave feeling like they've discovered
a private club, but without the price tag.
Getting there is easier than you think. Metro North's Yankees E153rd Street stop is right across the street, just
13 minutes from Grand Central, and the 2, 3, 4, B, and D trains are all a short walk away. Free on-site parking is available if you're driving in.
Their junior programs have a well-earned reputation, led by program directors Chris Destefano and Baloo Turcsik, who have developed a training system that takes players from beginners all the way to tournament competitors. Several Gotham juniors have gone on to play at the highest collegiate levels and on the pro tour.
On the adult side, Tennis Director Andy Stuber (more on him below) runs a robust lineup of instructional clinics, cardio tennis, live ball sessions, doubles round robins, and singles leagues, with a teaching staff from all over the world. Private lessons with Gotham's
world-class pros are also available. Andy runs all our regular games with Winston and Pedro, and they are well-liked by everyone. And when summer arrives, Andy takes the show out east to the
Hamptons:
Gotham's Montauk location sits on a beautiful nature preserve with eight pristine clay courts,
where our June and October weekend tennis retreats take place.
